Have you ever encountered oil stains on the bottom of the microwave oven, a peculiar smell during operation, or a situation where you find the turntable stuck after heating? Please don't ignore it, this is a signal that your microwave oven is asking you for help.

(1)、Lubrication failure of mechanical parts

1. Rotary table motor oil seal aging: long-term operation of the rotary table motor will cause the oil seal to harden and crack, and the lubricating oil will seep out to the chassis. For motors using mineral oil-based grease, the oil seal aging rate reaches 60% after 5 years.

Solution: Disassemble the motor after power failure, replace the silicon-based grease that meets the food-grade certification grade, and calibrate the levelness of the turntable to 0.5mm to avoid partial wear and aggravate oil leakage.

2. Fan bearing wear: the lack of oil in the cooling fan bearing will increase friction, and the lubricating oil will leak out along the shaft after melting. Detect the bearing temperature by infrared thermometer. If it exceeds 80 ℃, stop the machine for maintenance immediately. Apply high-temperature lithium-based grease after cleaning the old oil stains, and adjust the gap between the fan blade and the protective net to 3-5mm to ensure smooth airflow.

(2)、Leakage of cooling system

1. Cracking of magnetron cooling oil pipe: Some old microwave ovens use oil-cooled magnetron, and aging of the oil pipe will cause cooling oil to leak to the cavity. It is necessary to use helium mass spectrometer leak detector to locate the leak point, replace the high temperature resistant fluorine rubber pipe, and ensure that the distance between the pipe fixing clamps is not more than 20cm to avoid vibration and wear.

2.High-voltage capacitor insulating oil leakage: high-voltage capacitor internal insulating oil may seep due to the aging of the gasket. Use a megohmmeter to detect the insulation resistance of the capacitor. If it is lower than 50MΩ, replace the original capacitor and apply special sealant to ensure compliance with safety standards.

(3)、Defect of sealing structure

1. door seal hardening cracking: silicone door seals in high temperature and high humidity environment will accelerate aging, resulting in lax sealing caused by oil infiltration. Shore hardness tester shall be used to test the hardness of the door seal every quarter. If the hardness exceeds 70A, the weather-resistant sealing strip meeting the fire protection certification level shall be replaced, and the closing force of the door body shall be calibrated to 20-30N to ensure the sealing effect.

2.Cavity welding point corrosion: microwave oven cavity welding point under acid oil erosion may produce stress corrosion cracks. Cracks shall be located by dye penetrant inspection, polished and then welded and coated with rust primer to ensure compliance with ASTM A967 passivation.

(4)、Daily use and preventive maintenance

1. Correct cleaning method: avoid using steel wire ball or strong alkaline detergent, it is recommended to use neutral detergent with soft cloth to wipe. For stubborn oil stains, scrub after soaking in citric acid solution (1:10 dilution).

2. Regular lubrication and maintenance: every six months on the rotary table motor, fan bearings and other moving parts for lubrication and maintenance. Special tools shall be used for precise oil injection to avoid excessive oil accumulation.

3. Environmental control: keep the microwave oven dry and ventilated, avoid direct sunlight leading to aging of sealing materials. For coastal areas with high humidity, it is recommended to have a dehumidifier or run a "self-cleaning" program on a regular basis.

4.Professional annual inspection: Invite brand certification engineers to conduct in-depth inspections every 2 years, including key parameters such as magnetron output power, high-voltage capacitor insulation resistance, and door seal sealing performance to ensure that the equipment always meets safety standards.

After mastering these scientific principles and maintenance skills, you can not only accurately solve the problem of microwave oven oil leakage, but also extend the life of the equipment by 5-8 years through preventive maintenance.
